here are three of the smiley people who got together for aram and natalia's afterparty a while back. I've finally gotten around to posting the bulk of these photos... phew... it takes a while when you only post a few per day. on the other hand, it means people check my site more often now - I post things most days of the week. check 'em out!

crowds thronged Rideau St. right after the end of the fireworks on July 1st. No other day of the year sees such a sea of people overtake Ottawa...Happy Canada Day!

Fanfan and Julie kick off an Ayyám-i-Há/study circle wrap-up party at their place, in Ottawa. There was a great diversity of food, lots to drink (no alcohol though) and lots of great conversation. There was another Ayyám-i-Há party in Kanata the night before, and that one was about ten times bigger -- whereas this one was cozy, in a beautiful home, much more my size. I really enjoyed it. Everyone seemed to have a great time (especially the kids -- not pictured, but they were hilarious, bouncing all over the place).
